Getting Started

In order to start taking courses with Dexterity PD, you will need to Register and create a profile. You must complete all the required fields to have access to the Course Catalogue once you are logged into your profile. This is so that your course progress and completion certificates will be tracked properly.

Course quizzes are knowledge checks. Once you have achieved 70% on a quiz, you can proceed through the course.

Dexterity PD must receive official notification from its corporate partner(s) before enrolling an individual into a corporate group plan. If you are a member of a corporate group, please contact your owner/franchise partner. They are responsible for providing your name to the corporate headquarters to obtain access.

Dexterity PD does not require any certification to take our courses.
You will need to create a profile and complete the required information before being able to register for courses. Once you have completed your profile, you will be able to access the Course Catalogue and add courses to your cart.

Please enter any coupon codes during the payment stage of the checkout process. You will need to register and create a profile with us before you are able to complete a transaction.

Taking a Course

Dexterity PD courses are offered anytime, anyplace! You simply enroll in the course and get started at your convenience.

You do not require any special software to take a course.

We recommend speakers or headphones for the video components of courses. Any additional materials, including suggested tools and equipment, are clearly indicated in the course description.

Laptop or Desktop: For best results, we suggest using Google Chrome as your browser.

Tablet or Phone: For best results, we suggest downloading our mobile app (available on Android and IOS).  Click to Download  If you do not use the App we suggest using Google Chrome as your browser and have your device in landscape mode.

Each course is labelled with the expected amount of time for completion. This length is based on the amount of time our testers took to complete the course materials and activities at a moderate pace. You may find that it takes you less or more time and this may vary based on subject matter and your abilities. You do not have to complete the course content in one sitting.

You can complete a course in one sitting, or you may take the course in multiple sittings – the course will remember where you left off. You are also able to review what you have previously completed.
If you have a question about course content, please send this to customercare@dexteritypd.com. Dexterity PD will contact the course instructor where required and provide a response. Questions we receive are integrated into the biannual course updates and review.

Course Credits & Completion

Each course description includes an approvals section and the “Course Approvals” tab lists approvals by association. We submit courses on a rolling basis to associations and these sections are updated regularly with new approvals. We also post on social media when new approvals are received. Please email us at customercare@dexteritypd.com with any questions you may have.

Associations that have adopted the STRiVE Quality Assurance program do not provide pre-approvals for courses. Instead, individuals are required to set professional goals. An individual must complete two learning activities relevant to each of their goals.

Depending on the goals that you set for yourself, you may find a relevant Dexterity PD course. One Dexterity PD course is equivalent to one learning activity.

We have helpfully provided samples of how each Dexterity PD course relates to the STRiVE competencies in the course description. Note that there are many other ways of linking a course to the STRiVE competencies and your learning goals than the examples provided.

Your certificate is downloadable by logging into your account and navigating to the completed course. The green “Start Learning Now” button will now state “Download Your Certificate”. You may re-download this certificate at any time.

Check back often as we regularly release new courses.

We review each course on a biannual basis and ensure they reflect current knowledge and standards.

Other Questions

At Dexterity Professional Development we are committed to making our website’s content accessible and user-friendly. The platform where we host our courses has updated its features to be compliant with the most recent World Wide Web Consortium’s Content Accessibility Guidelines standards as of June 1, 2020. Additionally, the platform we use to produce our courses has improved and updated its features to enhance accessibility. As our courses undergo biannual review, updates will include an integration of these features.

Dexterity PD is committed to making our course content accessible to everyone. Upon request, we will develop and provide accessible versions of our courses. Please submit a request for accessible content to customercare@dexteritypd.com with “Accessible Content Request” in the subject line. Note that timelines for receipt of accessible content vary depending on whether an accessible version of a course has already been developed. We may also ask a series of follow-up questions in order to enhance your user-experience and meet your individual needs. If an appropriate accessible version has not yet been developed, you will be provided with a time estimate for completion upon receipt of your request.

We are open to suggestions for improvement to improve accessibility for our users. You can provide feedback and suggestions to customercare@dexteritypd.com with “Accessibility Improvement” in the subject line.

If you are from an association, regulator, or other body that provides pre-approvals for courses and you have received notice from your members that they would like to take courses with us, please contact submissions@dexteritypd.com.

Please contact the Manager of Course Development at coursemanager@dexteritypd.com to have a preliminary discussion and obtain the Dexterity PD Course Proposal template. You will be required to submit a formal course proposal, which will be evaluated by the Course Development Team. If your proposal is selected to move forward, you will be advised of next steps by the Manager of Course Development.
