Quality Control Process
Dexterity Professional Development Inc. requires all courses to undergo a rigorous development and testing process to create the highest calibre course. A course created by Dexterity PD has gone through the following process in order to ensure quality and accuracy:
- STEP 1: RFPWe initiate the course development process by putting out a request for proposal to instructors and subject specialists who are experienced in their fields.
- STEP 2: PROPOSAL SELECTION An instructor must submit a detailed proposal for a course, which is then evaluated by the Course Development Committee.
- STEP 3: COURSE OUTLINEWorking in conjunction with the Manager of Course Development, the instructor expands upon the course proposal and breaks it down into Modules, and then further lessons within the Modules.
- STEP 4: COURSE SUBMISSIONThe instructor submits complete lesson materials. The Manager of Course Development reviews the lessons for scientific accuracy and areas that may require more information.
- STEP 5: EDITING AND COURSE CREATION The course materials are examined in close detail by the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief edits the course and refers any scientific questions and/or areas requiring further research to the course instructor via the Manager of Course Development. Video and photo content is produced, reviewed for accuracy, and input into the course. Upon completion of the editing process, the course is input into the online format where it is further reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief.
- STEP 6: QUALITY TESTING ROUND 1 The course undergoes rigorous testing by a qualified manual therapist/relevant professional. Problems, weaknesses, and/or deficiencies are identified and corrected.
- STEP 7: QUALITY TESTING ROUND 2The course undergoes a second round of rigorous testing by an additional qualified manual therapist/relevant professional. Problems, weaknesses, and/or deficiencies are identified and corrected. The process is repeated until the course has met approval by the testers and is considered complete. All courses undergo two rounds of testing at a minimum.
- STEP 8: ONGOING EVALUATIONThe course will be reviewed on a biannual basis to ensure content is current. Any necessary updates are made at this time.
