Takayoshi Munemoto

Takayoshi (Taka) Munemoto has been practicing manual therapy since becoming licensed as a Registered Massage Therapist in 2005. He is also registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.

Taka continues to study a variety of topics including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), lymphatic drainage, manual approach osteopathic medicine, and the Feldenkrais method, amongst many others, through which he has developed a deep understanding of how the body works in an integrated and holistic way.

His whole-body approach of integrated functional and structural treatment is unique and gentle in nature, but also greatly promotes self-healing of the injured hard and soft tissues.

Taka has collaborated with Dexterity on a series of acupressure treatment courses, with many more under development. Taka effectively takes complex concepts and simplifies them through a detailed step-by-step approach. His courses will enable the manual therapist to integrate acupressure techniques into treatment with confidence.

Taka’s first course focuses on the application of acupressure techniques to treat headaches, and the second title in the series addresses low back pain. The third title addresses the application of acupressure to treat shoulder pain.
