Massage Therapy
The State of Rhode Island requires the following to obtain a Massage Therapy License:
- Successful completion of a minimum 500 hours approved massage therapy program
- Successful completion of the MBLEx or other approved national licensing exam
- Current First Aid & CPR
- National Criminal Record Check with Fingerprints
All Massage Therapist Licenses expire yearly on June 30th.
Continuing Education Information
The Massage Therapist License requires to complete 6 CE hours annually for renewal. These hours can all be taken in an online format.
The State of Rhode Island* accepts courses for continuing education hours from providers in the CE Registry.
Dexterity PD is a proud Approved Provider with the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). Our courses are available and listed in the CE Registry. Course completion records are stored in the national Massage Therapy Licensing Database (MTLD) for permanent recording.
