Massage Therapy
The State of New Mexico requires the following to obtain a Massage Therapy License:
- Successful completion of a minimum 650 hours approved massage therapy program
- Successful completion of a national licensing exam (NCETMB or MBLEx)
- Succesful completion of the New Mexico Jurisprudence Exam
The Massage Therapist License expires biennially on October 31st.
Continuing Education Information
Renewal of the Massage Therapist License requires the completion of 16 CE per two-year licensing period. Of the 16 CE, 4 CE must be in Ethics.
Of the 16 CE, 8 CE hours may be completed online and 8 CE are required to be completed in-person. However, this requirement has been waived for the
