Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is governed by the Nebraska Board of Massage Therapy.
The State of Nebraska requires the following to obtain a permanent Massage Therapy License:
- Successful completion of a minimum 1000 hours approved massage therapy program
- Successful completion of a national licensing exam (MBLEx, NCETMB, NCETM, ACE)
- Successful completion (min. 75%) of the Nebraska Jurisprudence Massage Therapy Examination
Massage Therapist Licenses expire on November 1 of odd years.
Continuing Education Information
Massage Therapist License renewal requires the completion of 16 CE every two-year licensing period.
The State of Nebraska* accepts courses for continuing education hours from providers in the CE Registry. The State of Nebraska also accepts courses for continuing education hours from providers approved by the NCBTMB.
