Massage Therapy
General Information
Massage Therapy is governed by the Idaho Board of Massage Therapy.
The State of Idaho requires the following to obtain a Massage Therapy License:
- Credentials
- Successful completion of min. 500h program of in-class supervised instruction and clinical work from a board approved massage school or program
- Examination
- Successful completion of a national competency examination (MBLEx, NCETMB, NCETM, NCBTMB)
Continuing Education Information
Beginning with the second renewal of their license, renewal of the license requires 6 CE hours per one-year term. Of the 6 CE hours, 1 CE hours must be in Ethics.
The State of Idaho* accepts courses for continuing education hours from providers in the CE Registry. The State of Idaho also accepts courses for continuing education hours from providers approved by the NCBTMB.
