Karen Gnat boasts a rich history in the wellness realm, contributing over two decades of expertise as a yoga teacher and nutritionist. Her focus centers on mental health and trauma, areas she has delved into intensively for several years.

Karen’s immersion in the study and teaching of trauma extends to a profound understanding of its physiological impacts, complemented by her exploration of mental health through a nutritional and physical lens.

Actively pursuing further education, Karen is currently engaged in psychotherapy studies at the Ontario College of Counseling & Psychotherapy, with a specific emphasis on trauma. She places significant emphasis on lifelong learning, consistently participating in courses and research to enhance her skillset.

The trauma courses developed in collaboration with Dexterity PD are meticulously crafted, drawing heavily from evidence-based research, including prominent studies by the US Department of Veterans Affairs on PTSD. Karen’s hands-on experiences in both working and teaching within the trauma field have profoundly influenced the course content.

Together with Dexterity PD, Karen has co-created a series of courses that delve into the intricate connections between trauma, mental health, and their impact on manual therapy treatment.
