Why Should You Take The Certificate Program?

Our learning plan will assist the manual therapist in becoming more familiar with common conditions affecting the back and core. It consists of 3 courses:

Therapeutic Exercise: Hyperlordosis

Therapeutic Exercise: Hyperkyphosis

Therapeutic Exercise: Scoliosis

Therapists taking these courses will understand the anatomy and physiology of the core and back and how to offer better treatment and homecare exercises to their patients who may be affected by scoliosis, hyperlordosis, or hyperkyphosis.

As more of the general population moves to employment that requires them to be seated at a desk in front of a computer, the prevalence of injury and strain to the spine increases.

Manual therapists are constantly seeing new patients who are experiencing pain and discomfort in the back and core area due to prolonged sitting and the amount of time that people now spend in front of a screen.

It is essential to be proactive in administering care and rehabilitative planning to patients for them to have an excellent quality of life and enjoy their regular activities.

In completing the Certificate Program, therapists will be able to properly identify these conditions. Therapists can then take this understanding and implement the proper remedial exercises to improve treatment outcomes.

The courses in this Certificate Program also teach therapists how to explain the conditions and cue patients adequately in completing corrective exercises to help improve their condition.

It is the duty of a manual therapist to assign appropriate exercises to patients in order to maintain therapeutic gains outside of treatment sessions.

It is the duty of a manual therapist to assign appropriate exercises to patients in order to maintain therapeutic gains outside of treatment sessions.

By taking this Certificate Program, therapists ensure that they teach patients the best and most relevant exercises while also fostering confidence in the patient-therapist relationship.

Therapists who complete all of the courses in this Certificate Program will also be able to aid their patients in maintaining accountability to their homecare programming.

Confidence in exercise prescription also encourages patients to continue taking an active role in their recovery and rehabilitation, ensuring a better outcome for any patient looking to decrease their symptoms.
